Here are 10 ways to have a cleaner and healthier home:
Here are a few of our most commonly used recipes for cleaning our home top to bottom:

+ HEAVY DEGREASER: 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner + 1 c. water. Combine ingredients according to your cleaning needs, and store in a glass spray bottle. TO USE: Spray surface and gently rub with a cloth to remove surface grease. When grease is removed, wipe area with a clean, wet cloth.

I have had the worst time with vacuums this past year. I had 3 vacuums die on me in 6 months! Do not buy vacuums from Bissell. I finally decided that it was time to get a high quality machine and got the Shark® Rocket Complete with DuoClean™ Technology. It is absolutely amazing and I can’t believe how much dirt I had in my carpets that the other vacuums were not picking up! Paying more for a vacuum that has advanced technology, suction, is lightweight, and is easy to store is 100% worth it. Plus, it has an LED light in the head that illuminate the floor as you vacuum which is a huge game changer. In the spirit of “Clean Home”, I couldn’t not tell you how happy I am with the cleaning power of the Shark Rocket DuoClean.
8. Mosquito Repellent
Mosquitoes are terrible in Alabama, but spraying chemical filled aerosols near my son makes me nervous. Citronella is the scent used in most bug repellent candles and is a very effective way to deter bugs when applied to directly to the body.
There are two ways to use Young Living Citronella Oil as a bug repellent: body spray or body oil rub
Spray- You’ll need:
+ Small Glass Spray Bottle
+ 10 Drops of Young Living Citronella Oil
Fill a small spray bottle ¾ of the way full and add 10 drops of citronella oil. Shake the bottle to mix and spray mixture on hair, skin, and clothes. You need to reapply ever 45-60 minutes when outside.
Rub - You’ll need:
+ Small Glass Jar (I recycled a mandarin orange jar)
+ 10 or more Drops of Young Living Citronella Oil
+ Coconut Oil
Fill the jar ¾ of the way full with coconut oil. Continue adding and stirring drops of citronella until you feel the scent is strong enough. Rub the coconut oil mixture on your wrist, nap of the neck, behind the ears, ankles and hands for the most effect.
