I am aware that I missed week 14, but to be honest nothing really changed in week 14 and I didn't look significantly bigger so I devoted my time to other things! But here is life in week 15:
Size: Navel Orange (4 inches and 2.5 ounces- The Bump app) or Avacado (Ovia Pregnancy app)
Weight Gain: At the doctors a few days ago I was still -7 from my pre-pregnancy weight. Yay for 3 lbs of weight gain! My principal has been trying to fatten me up by butting honey buns and candy bars in my box every day!
Movement: Nothing official yet. I thought I felt someone during week 14, but I haven't felt anything else that I could distinguish from stomach rumbling so now I don't know if that was baby or not.
How I'm Feeling: Much better than the last time I checked in. I get winded pretty easily and am still nauseated in the morning and a bit at night, but I haven't thrown up in 4 days! It is the little things...
Sleep: Sleep is getting a bit harder. I am having a hard time getting comfortable at night. I am usually the person who can fall asleep in 30 seconds. It is weird to toss and turn for awhile trying to get comfortable. Other than that, I am still getting about 8 hours of sleep a night.
Cravings: Chips, hotdogs, pizza, cheese slices, and ranch dressing. Let's be honest- If you know Katie Wagner- I have turned into her... I could survive on Sun Chips and cups of Ranch. I use to love healthy foods...
Aversions: Chicken (especially grilled), anything cooked and savory that has intense flavor or smells, Christmas scented candles, and all vegetables that are not tomatoes (which is a fruit? Or a Fruitable?).
Workouts: I am finally back in the gym! In 2 weeks, I made it to the gym 4 times and walked the dog for 2 miles on 2 other days. That is a lot more than the weeks prior. Most days I have only been able to manage about a mile on the elliptical, 2 or 3 sets of weights and some stretching. I am slowly upping my game and will hopefully have a 2nd Trimester workout plan soon.
Maternity Clothes: My mother-in-law sent me a cute maternity shirt in the mail the other day. I love it! I just have the two shirts and the belly band now.
Baby Items: Dom got me 2 surprises this week! He can't keep secret or presents for very long. These were suppose to be Christmas presents but he couldn't contain his excitement until December 25th!
1. The Skip Hop Waverly Diaper Bag
I had looked at about a thousand diaper bags in stores and online and this was the only one that I liked. Little did I know, Dom had remembered the one I liked and bought it for me! I'm obsessed with it. I might have already stuffed it full of sample diapers and bottles for fun!
2. The second gift was a portable changing station that could go along with the diaper bag. He plans on carrying only this when he has the baby... little does he know...
Dom practiced changing a stuffed animal on the changing pad and did wonderful!
Best Moment of the Week: A student told me they could see my baby belly! I was so excited. I want to be showing so badly.
