I have had quite a few friends lately ask me if he "has all of his parts yet" or if "he has hands and eyes and all of that stuff". For anyone wondering, at 27 weeks baby has all of his vital organs and appendages! His lungs are still a bit under developed and his eyes wouldn't work properly just yet. He also needs to pack on a ton of fat, however, if he was born today, he could most likely survive with the help of a respirator and other inventions of modern science. Movement: He is most active when I am laying or sitting. I finally got a video of him moving around but I was not in the most flattering positions when I caught him. I will keep trying to get one that I can share on here.
Pregnancy Symptoms: My belly button is pretty much flat now. Dom think it is gross but I kinda like it! I have a super deep belly button so it is weird to see what was in that deep crevasse! My ribs are still bothering me some but not nearly as bad as a few weeks ago. I did start having a few Braxton Hicks contractions, but only 2 or 3 a days. I didn't even know that that was what I was feeling until about a week after they started! Can everyone please tell me that real contractions feel the same as Braxton Hicks!! If that is the case this will be a breeze :)
Sleep: I'm logging 8-10 hours a night and have been sleeping straight through! I am putting a throw pillow between by legs and a pillow under my belly. I have a body pillow but Macy has claimed it as hers. As long as I keep sleeping well she can have it.
Craving: Cream Cheese on Toast (I am ashamed to say I ate 8 pieces in one sitting when Dom was working late), Cereal (particularly Chex and Corn Pops), and Mangoes.
Aversions: Rutabaga and Eggplant... just looking at those pictures is grossing me out...
Workouts: Workouts have been few and far between this week. Domenic was working night shift all week and I had to work after school. By the time I got home at 6, it was hard to push myself to go to the gym without a partner to motivate me. Here are a few pictures from a gym trip this week. I am definitely finding myself getting winded much more quickly than normal. I can push through a hard 20 minute workout and then about all I can manage is some stretching and light core work.
Baby Items: We haven't bought anything new this week, but I did take some time to refurbish a bookshelf that was hiding in Dom's "Man Room" (AKA storage room). I just did a simply sanding and paint job! Now it is ready for all of the book that we got at his first shower!
