If you follow us on Instagram, you may know that we spent the day at the Eric Carle Museum over our holiday trip to Massachusetts. If you don't recognize the name Eric Carle, you may know his most noteworthy book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".
The museum was gorgeous and the exhibits were fantastic. I learned so much about the art of children's book illustration, and I left with a new appreciation of Carle's artistic process.
Aside from the Carle exhibit, there was a fantastic display of the illustration work of Mary Blair. Blair was an Illustrator for Disney and Golden Books. I adored looking through her illustration of Cinderella. A definite must have if we ever have a little girl!
The museum also houses an adorable little library. We stopped in for story time and some book reading AKA book eating!
Of course we couldn't leave without a few souvenirs of Carle's work! I definitely recommend a trip to the museum if you happen to be in the area.
