Over the past 9 months, I have visited my OB's office 14 times and spent an estimated 30 hours in waiting rooms, exam rooms, and their bathrooms. With that amount of time invested in one place, it deserves its own designated post!
I used McLeod OBGYN at McLeod Regional Hospital in Florence, South Carolina for my prenatal care. I will be moving to a practice in Alabama for the remainder of my pregnancy and delivery. McLeod was wonderful and I am so thankful for all of the doctors there that have taken such good care of me!
Here are some highlights of my time with McLeod... starting with why I started going in the first place! I don't know if I ever shared the lucky stick that brought Oliver into a reality, but these were 2 of about 6 pregnancy tests that I took to confirm that we were pregnant.
My first trimester was less then fantastic, and the doctor's and I got fairly well acquainted.
Here is us at our gender reveal ultrasound!! The technician knew she was looking at a boy PRETTY quickly. The whole office knew we were having a boy before I could get Dom out of there! I actually had the Nurse Practitioner tell me the next time I was in the office that she had heard it was a boy!
All of those hours waiting in the exam room lead to a massive amount of mirror selfies.
Then there was the time that I had "the cute doctor" as some would put it, and I realized that my socks didn't match AND had a hole in them. I was so embarrassed. To make matters worse, he laughed and commented on my miss-matched socks. At least he had the decency to blame it on me not being able to see my feet!
Lastly, I am aware that doctors are stereotyped as having bad hand writing, but there is NO way to argue that that signature is recognizable as any of my doctor's names...
Thank you McLeod OBGYN for a wonderful experience. I will always recommend you to women in the future.
