I finally made my first video! I have been scared of video for a long time, so I am happy the way my first one turned out. Check it out to see how I take care of Oliver's skin when the dry winter weather comes around. Read further down for some more of my tips and favorite products.
My New Year’s resolution posts continue and, other than a few days of vacation, I have been following through with my goals. If you haven’t been following along, my New Year’s resolution series is titled “Clean Body, Clean Home”, and this article is going to deal with how we clean our homes. When Oliver was born, I started getting nervous using traditional harsh chemical cleaners and made the switch to some more natural cleaning products. As I discover more uses for essential oils, I continue to find more ways to both clean naturally and save money.
Today I am partnering up with Jacki, who is my Young Living Essential Oils Educator, to share 10 ways that you can use essential oils around your home for healthier cleaning. Jacki is an amazing mother and I have learned so much from her! We are each sharing 5 recipes or tips that will help you take the steps towards a cleaner more natural home. Jacki is also offering to send a copy of “The Chemical Free Home” to anyone interested in starting your own essential oil journey! You can read more about her offer at the end of this post!

The biggest complaint I get from people when I tell them that they should buy their items used is that you can't find on-trend modern items when shopping used. It is something that I have found to be frustrating as well. I remember when infinity scarves became popular in college. I looked through all of the usually channels for some used pieces but couldn't find any. But, as a poor college student, I didn't want to pay full price for one.
If this is your problem as well, rather than looking for used items, try shopping at places that provide new, on-trend products for huge discounts. I'm not talking about coupons, but places where new items are listed way below industry standards. Here are my four favorite ways to find clothing and home goods that are both brand spanking new and inexpensive.
You may have caught my two Facebook live videos this week (if not, make sure to follow my page to catch videos!) about packing and travel tips. I am going to post those videos below, but in reviewing them, I thought of more travel advice! Oliver has now been on 22 flights with me so we have a wealth of information when it comes to flying and airports. Im going to list some pieces of advice that I didn't mention in the videos and reiterate a few points, but watch the full videos for all of my thoughts on a stress free travel experience.
I've always been intimidated by hats. I could wear ball caps fine, but cute girly hats I could never pull off.
