Well, the wedding and wedding planning is over! I wanted to take a minute to give credit to all of the shops and professionals that helped make our day look and feel that way that it did!
I had my hair done at Tabula Rasa Salon in Charleston. Michelle Atwood did my hair and she did a fantastic job. The place was so cute and welcoming. Michelle had my hair done in 45 minutes! I told her I was in a hurry and she definitely stepped it up.
I did all of my own makeup, but I bought my products at Ulta. Here is the post about the makeup that I used. My face makeup lasted all night but my lipstick had to be reapplied a few times.
I bought my bouquet of dried flowers from The Flower Patch on etsy and added fresh white carnations from Charleston Florist to the flowers. Dried flowers were so stress free and beautiful.
I bought the dried lavender from Onederings on Etsy and added white carnations from Charleston Florist. I wrapped the flowers in Burlap from Hobby Lobby
I bought the boutonnieres for the groom, groomsmen, fathers, mothers, and grandmothers from Paula Jean Garden on Etsy. I don't have many good pictures because the boys all lost their boutonnieres until the reception! They were also made of dried flowers.
I bought my dress at David's Bridal. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the designer or the collection that it came from.
The boy's all ordered their suits from Men's Warehouse. They got a wonderful deal so they bought rather than renting.
I bought my painted mason jars from The Retro Redhead Home and The Shabby Chic Wedding on Etsy.
The small clear mason jars were from Ron's Home and Hardware.
The dried flowers were ordered from Onderings.
The birch candle holders were bought at My Garden Gate.
The tin buckets came from Amazon's Hippo Tail and Factory Direct Craft .
The wooden slices were ordered from Birch House Market.
We bought the Koozies from Totally Wedding Koozies. They arrived in about 2 weeks. They were about $.25 per Koozie.
I ordered my hair pins and necklace from Etsy shops. The necklace was from Aqua Giraffe and the hair pins were ordered from Element 4 You. My earrings were purchased at JC Penny's.
Our cakes were both made by Cakes by Kasarda in Charleston, SC. I bought our cake decoration from Dena Danielle Design's etsy shop.
Our professional wedding pictures were done by Southern Willow Photography based out of Kingstree, SC.
Our engagement pictures were taken by High Cotton Studio in Charleston.
Our ceremony and reception pictures were taken by our friend Maura.
I bought the picture stand, golden flower filler, and burlap from Hobby Lobby.

Dom and I got married on Saturday!! It was absolutely amazing. The ceremony was so meaningful, and seamless, and the reception went perfectly! There wasn't a single hiccup... ok maybe you could say all of the groomsmen and the groom loosing their boutonnieres was a hiccup, but we didn't even notice that they weren't wearing them until the reception!
We had 2 photographers for the wedding. Stephanie from Southern Willow Photography took our bridal and bridal party pictures before the wedding, and our friend Maura took all of the ceremony and reception pictures. Stephanie is still in the editing process so I will share hers a bit later, but I already have Maura's pictures and they turned out beautifully! She did such a good job of capturing every little moment and all of the fun that we had.
Here is a recap of the wedding in pictures.
Here we all are waiting to walk down the isle and getting ready! We had a blast in the back all hanging out.
Here is me beforehand just waiting around!
Here we all go down the isle... if any of the groomsmen look like they were balling walking down the isle... that is cause they were!
Here are some good ones from the ceremony. It was so dark in there so props to Maura for being able to get some good shots.
I love this picture of the 2 moms celebrating out after the ceremony :)
Next, we had photos with family and friends. I am pretty sure Dom and I will be fine if we don't take any pictures for about a year!
Here are some pictures of the reception decorations. Some things may look familiar from all of my wedding updates!
Here are both cakes and my flowers
Here is the beginning of the reception with the first dance, father/daughter dance, brother/sister dance, and mother/son dance.
Here are some good shots of a bunch of our friends and family at the reception!
Cutting of the Cake and Best Man/MOH Speeches. Dom rubbed cake in my face and then accidentally ate the cake he was suppose to feed me!
Throwing of the Bouquets and Garter!
More to come when we have our professional photos back! Thanks to everyone who made this wedding so special.
A special thank you to Katie Wagner who went to my dress fittings, learned how to bustle a dress, listened to my wedding talk everyday on the way to school, woke up with me at 5 am to help get rid of my wedding jitters, and gave us the most thoughtful gift of the night. All of our students are going to be so jealous :)
p.s. you can steal any pictures that you want for Facebook, but I will put them all up on Facebook in a few days. There are some that I didn't include in here cause there were so many, I will put them all on Facebook if you want to see the full album.
I am going to admit right now that this will not be the most organized or focused blog post! August and September are seriously wiping my behind. Between School starting, increased responsibilities at school, planning a wedding, moving houses, and my family moving back to America, how is a girl to find 2 seconds to write a blog post! I started lots of blog posts but didn't have time to really develop them. So... I decided to combine them all into little snippets!
1. Moving/Packing Ideas
I have been packing up and moving things in to Dom and I's first house! We are making progress!
One trick that I had was for transporting hanging clothes. I actually stole this idea from my friend Stephanie. Cut a trash bag so that it is open on both ends. Pull the bag over a section of clothes with the strings on the top near the hangers. Tie the bag ties around the hangers. It makes the clothes so easy to pick up, lay in your car, and plop right on to the hanger in your new closet. I have moved so many times and I have never find a technique better than this one.
Second ideas was for moving my necklaces. They ALWAYS get tangled! I unhooked each one and strung it through a toilet paper roll. It took a bit of time to unhook each one and string it though, but it was definitely better than untangling all of those chains!
Last bit of packing news, I am a cleaning freak. I love sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. How did this much trash get under my rug and couch?!?! I am pretty sure Macy was using the couch as a burying ground!
2. Change of Last Name:
SO ignore the bad picture, but look what my school secretary did! I needed a new card and she put my future last name on it! It was so weird to see. Now some of my kids are trying to call me Mrs. Simone. I know it will take me awhile to get use to it.
On that note, does anyone have any advice on getting my name changed on everything in my life? I have looked at a few websites that say they can help, but I don't want to pay money for something that doesn't work. Help?
3. #VSsportsbra VoxBox from Influenster
Woohoo another VoxBox! I received the new Victoria Secret Sports Bra and Workout pants from Victoria Secret. I received these complementary through Influenster for review purposes. Here are my honest thoughts.
A: The Bra is fantastic. It curses and fits so wonderfully to my body. I couldn't be happier.
B: The Pants are ALMOST wonderful. I LOVE the feel and the fit of the pants. They are thick enough that I don't feel like my butt is hanging out there but they don't feel heavy. My only complains is the style. My picture didn't show it so much, but the pink comes down right around the contours of my thigh. I feel like it makes my thighs look large and brings attention to them. It is a weird feeling to have the focus on my thighs! Other than that, they would definitely keep me warm outside in the winter and are lovely to workout in.

3. NFL Season Is Here:
I am generally not an NFL fan (Roll Tide!) but Dom and his buddies are. We hosted everyone at the new house for football and food. We had a friendly football pool going (I lost big time), and I made wings, fries, and spinach pizza! We had a blast. Go Jets :)
That is all for now folks!

I know that is a bit late in the game to be taking engagement pictures, but we scheduled them before we knew we were getting married in September! We had our pictures taken by Nicole Parrish-McLain from High Cotton Studios, and she did a fantastic job! She was so creative and fun to work with. Anyone looking to take family, baby, engagement, or wedding pictures in South Carolina or the East Coast of Georgia should definitely look her up! Here are our favorite pictures from the session!
All of our pictures were taking in downtown Charleston, South Carolina
