I did something crazy -- I took my 5 week old Black Friday shopping with me! But honestly, it went really smoothly and we did fantastic. We didn't do any crazy midnight shopping or anything like that, but below are a few tips I learned to help holiday shopping with an infant be stress free.

This is my first time owning a home at Christmas, and to say I've been dreaming about decorating the front door is an understatement! I plan to have twinkling garlands wrapped around every pole, candles in the windows, and reindeer in the front grass – essentially the works!
If you are anything like me, you know the struggle of waiting until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. Some people aren't as uptight as me and decorate whenever their little heart desires, but I force myself to wait. However, I do love to throw a little holiday cheer into my fall decor the week of Thanksgiving to help soften my pain and to ease the house into full blown Christmas chaos.
I also realize that I haven't revealed our upstairs living/dining room space since we moved into the new house. Folks, I live in New England - I can't believe I just said that! I use to swear I would never live anywhere with serious cold winters but sometimes love makes you do crazy things! I grew up in a desert climate or in the humid south so I am GROSSLY underprepared for what a winter full of snow entails. Let's just say, I'm being a big baby about the cold already and trying to do everything in my power to ensure that I stay as warm as possible so as not to spend all day whining!
I've complied a list of things we are doing around the house and clothing options that I am stocking up on to make sure that my first New England winter is a warm and cozy one.
Birth stories are one of my favorite things to read. Something about the real life drama surrounding a woman's water breaking or the infamous "am I in labor" question is so exciting. No matter how a baby comes into the world, it is a story worth remembering. So, here is Clark's birth story before I ramble so long I forget the details!
I am a 26 years old follower of Jesus living in Rhode Island with my 2 little men and wicked handsome husband. I love coffee that doesn't taste like coffee, am really bad at putting on lipstick and vocally wish I could join the CIA. Now that you know a little about me, time to read a whole lot more!
