As a Work From Home mom, it is so hard to make the decision on what to wear every day. Do I stay in pajamas or do I get dressed? Do I wear something practical or something fashionable?
Here are my 3 items every mom should have in their closet:
1. At least one pair of neutral slip on sneakers
All white, black, and grey sneakers are in right now, and they also make putting outfits together super easy. I have a pair of colorful trainers that I love, but I can only wear them with certain things. When you wake up with 2 minutes and 45 seconds to get out the door, having a pair of neutrals will make your life so much easier.
These are white Keds. I have a few similar pairs from Target that aren't the Keds brand but have the same look and function. You can see a few options linked below.
2. A comfy and durable pair of black yoga pants
I actually have 3! Why yoga pants? They can take the wear and tear of getting up and down and all around all day, they are comfortable, and they are more acceptable in public than pajama bottoms.
It is really important to remember a few things when picking a pair of yoga pants:
A. You want a thick waist band to make sure you aren't constantly pulling your pants up all day.
B. You want them thick enough so when you bend over the fabric doesn't become see through
C. Having a mesh panel on the side makes them more breathable in the summer time.
I have tried quite a few pairs, and these 3 are my favorites. They meet all of the criteria above (#2 doesn't have any mesh but they are a light fabric) and are 100% mom approved.

B. Brogan Legging from Fabletics
C. Gaviota Capri from Fabletics
3. 3 or 4 loose flowy tank tops or tee shirts
Your goal when running around town with your kids usually isn't sexy. It is functional, comfy, and cute.
I love the Free People tank that I am wearing in these pictures because it is an easy clean fabric (it is essentially a cuter version of a wife-beater) and it is high neck. I can't stand when my son pulls my shirt down in the front, so higher neck shirts are more comfortable for me.
I also recommend cute graph tee-shirts from these companies:
Mama Bear: Loved by Hannah and Eli
Mama Said Tees
Be Still Clothing Company
There you have it. If you keep those staples in your closet, you will have less pajama days and more cute mom on the go.
