Life has been nuts since the last time that I was on here. My husband was out of town which gives me 0 free time to write, my In-Laws and Brother In-Law were in town for 3 days from Boston, Oliver had his Christening, Dom and I had our 1st Anniversary and I had to recover from it all.
With that in mind, I am just going to give a little recap of our adventures. I like to have more focus on my posts, but this one I am just going to enjoy wandering through.
To start off the weekend, we went back down to Avondale (see our first experience here). We wondered around the beautiful Avondale Park and visited some of the cute little stores in that part of town.
Sunday we had Oliver's Christening at church. He wore a 60 year old outfit that both his uncles, his dad, his grandpa, and his great uncle all wore! Good thing we had the Christening when we did, because he would not have fit into it the next day! The bottom of it kept unbuttoning at the most inopportune times.
We celebrated our anniversary with a trip to Rail Road Park for Trucks By The Tracks. It was hot and crowded but worth it for that fantastic food. I had a brick oven pizza by Old Town Pizza and a Steel City Pop. My Mother-in-law had shrimp and grits from Granny's Fish and Grits and the rest of the family ate Saw's Barbecue.
All of the food was fantastic. I pick the Pizza as my favorite of the day but I'm a bit of a pizza fanatic.
We tuckered the little man out with all of our activities, but it was a great weekend. Family time, good food, and lots of laughs.
