The baby slept in his Baby Bjorn for half of the hike, got a quick snack, and happily looked around for the walk back. I swear we know how to sit him upright in his carrier, but he always wiggles himself sideways so he can lay his head on the edge... smart kid.
I just wanted to share a few pictures from our weekend and another good Birmingham find. Our friends Sam and Steven drove down from Nashville for the weekend, and we had a blast together! Saturday we went hiking at Moss Rock Park in Hoover. I am not sure who had more fun, us or the dog. Macy swam in any water she could find, ran with zero purpose or goal for hours, and marked her territory on about 42 rocks.

The woods were beautiful, the weather was amazing, and the company was so refreshing. I love spending time with Mr. and Mrs. Burgess. The water level was super low from our lack of rain (Macy is laying in a section of the river bed in the picture above), but there were some nice, clear looking spots that I was dying to take a dunk in.
Macy was just able to run around like a mad woman/dog- which is her happy place.
If you looking for a fun outdoor trip, I definitely recommend checking it out. There was a large number of families with young kids playing in the water and climbing the rocks.
