I have been eying these wreaths for awhile so I decided to make one! They are so simple and look adorable.
45 feet of Burlap (I used 3 15ft bundles)- $15
1 wire wreath- $3
1 decoration for wreath (I used a tie on bow)- $5
* I bought my supplies at Hobby Lobby. I think you could do much cheaper on the burlap at a Walmart or Michaels
Hint: Don't buy wire rimmed Burlap. It doesn't bunch the way you will want it to.
1. Start by grabbing a pinch of burlap about 6 inches from the end and pulling it through a space in the wire rack. Leave the tail end of about 4 inches hanging to be tucked in upon completion.
2. Make small loops and pull them through the wires. Make the rows as full as possible to give the wreath a fluffy look. Don't worry if it takes you awhile to figure out a pattern that works for you. It took me 4 or 5 types of ripping it out to get the hang of it!
I forgot to take pictures as I was making the wreath, so here are some in-process pictures from Top This Top That.
Here is my final product! My favorite part is that I can switch out the bow for other items according to the season!
