There are a plethora of products to keep baby happy, entertained, learning, feed, healthy, and safe. What about the items to help MOM feel sane, organized, clean, and healthy? Here is a list of things that help moms do things with one hand, quickly, efficiently, and in a manner that makes her look like she runs the world.
Camelbak • Baby Bjorn Carrier • Boba Wrap • Munchkin Car Organizer • Arm N Hammer Bags • Skip Hop Bath Water Thermometer • Keds • Munchkin Pacifier Wipes • Johnson Baby Powder • Munchkin Odor Eliminator • Tide Laundry Detergent Pods
1. Camelbak Bottle
Staying hydrated is always important, but who has time for screwing on lids, or cleaning up spills. A Camelbak Watter Bottle will make staying hydrated easier.
2. Baby Carriers
Having both hands free to cook, clean, shop, etc. is a luxury that baby carriers afford. I got a Boba Wrap and Baby Bjorn carrier as gifts from a friend. I love both of them. The Ergobaby carrier andwrap, Cybex carrier, and Baby K'Tan wrap are other popular brands.
Your life is easier when you can find what you want quickly. I'm sure that is harder to maintain with a toddler, but with an infant who can't grab and throw things yet, it is easier to stay organized. I have a pocket organizer in my car to keep the things I need nearby and easy to find.
4. Bath Water Thermometer
Every time Dom and I fill up Oliver's bath tub, we debate on the temperature of the water. Having a bath tub thermometer makes bath time easier. Ours currently isn't working so I am thinking about trying this new guy by Skip Hop
5. Slip-On Shoes
I can't tell you the number of time, I have walked outside with my shoes half on because I couldn't bend down to attach a strap or pull up the back of the shoe. I have started to rely strictly on slip-ons for daily use. I love my Keds because they are easy to put on but are still stylish (or so I think!).
6. Easy Cleaning
Easy, Easy, Easy is the way to go. Munchkin/ Arm N Hammer makes a disposable diaper bag dispenser, pacifier wipes, and Nursery Air Freshners that make my like simpler and more efficient.
7. Hiding The Fact That You Didn't Shower
This is my personal favorite. I would argue that no new mom showers as much as is socially expected. A little baby powder to your greasy hair makes you look put together. Baking Powder is equally as effective.
8. One Handed Laundry
Lastly, laundry pods. Pop one into the wash and do away with the hassle of pouring detergent while holding a squirmy baby.
