"The Medal of Honor is proof that ordinary men and women have within them the potential to challenge fate and literally change the course of history. It only requires the courage to try."
--Tom Hudnet, US Navy (Medal of Honor recipient, Korea).
I was approached recently by Zenith Press Publishing about a new book that they are promoting. If you are looking for a Christmas Present for a History Buff, Military Enthusiast, or a gorgeous coffee table book, you will love the Medal of Honor! Below you can find a description of the book, a review of the content and a giveaway of the 2nd copy that I was given!
The Medal of Honor was such a treat for me to receive in the mail. Everyone in my house has been reading and looking through it this last week! Take a moment to check it out, and if you are interested, register for my giveaway at the bottom of this post to receive your own copy!
What is it about :
The Medal of Honor is essentially a history of our military's highest military award. Throughout the book you will find stories of the amazing men who received this award, a history of its design, and fantastic pictures of America's military efforts throughout her history.
Not only is this a historical account of American bravery and heroics, it is also a motivation to serve our country with honor. Any soldier who reads this book will be reinvigorated by the stories of these men who put their own lives in danger to save their friends and countrymen!
President Truman- "I would rather have the Medal of Honor than the presidency."
I believe this would make a great gift for any family, but in particular, it would be great for a lover of history, child enrolled in the military, or a veteran of the American Military. I am not trying to say that you have to be some how tied to the military to enjoy Medal of Honor, but I believe anyone who is will sincerely appreciate this subject matter.
I took a few pictures of my copy with my camera on my phone so the quality is not fantastic. However, I wanted to give a feel for how well presented this work is.
If you are interested in your own copy of The Medal of Honor please entry the giveaway listed below.
I am also teaming up on the giveaway with Melissa from A Pearl and Her Pilot. Make sure to check her and her new Etsy shop out!
