Now that I am over half way done with my first pregnancy, I want to take time to reflect on some of the things that made my life a little bit easier. I read so many of these during my first trimester, so I wanted to contribute some of my own!
Comfy Maternity Shirt: I definitely advise investing in at least one comfy maternity shirt. Even if you aren't showing heavily, the extra fabric will feel wonderful and somedays you just want to wear maternity clothes so you feel pregnant before you look it.
Black maternity Leggings: These are a must have staple. Perfect for lounging, exercise, going out, or even work.
Running shorts: Not just any running short. I suggest getting a pair with a draw string that you can remove. Most running shorts have elastic that gets tight and uncomfortable with your growing belly. I removed the drawstring my nike shorts and they are wonderfully comfy.
Bubble Bath: Domenic got me these bubble baths from Bath and Body Works for Christmas. A good bubble bath can ease achy muscles and achy minds. It also will help sooth itchy and dry skin from your stretching belly.
Reeses Peanut Butter Spread: I received the Reese's Peanut Butter Spread from Influenster.com for trial purposes and I love it! It is perfect to cure that ache for chocolate while also giving you some healthy oils in the peanut butter. I like to pair mine with pretzels for an afternoon snack.
An Empire Waisted Belt: Having a good belt that fits you right below the breast can turn any shirt into a cute maternity shirt. I have a belt that is brown on one side and black on the other and it works wonders when I feel frumpy. You can see two outfits that I used my belt with onthis former post.
Yoga Ball: I can't stress how amazing a yoga ball is! It doesn't matter how exhausted and sore I am, a few bounces on my yoga ball and I feel fantastic. If you haven't sat on one yet, you are missing out!
A Body Pillow: I didn't want to buy a super expensive, body forming pillow. I already owned a body pillow from Target and it works just as well. When I started having trouble sleeping it did the trick!
What did you use during the first half of your pregnancy that you couldn't live without?
