For the past few months I have been working up at our town's gym on the weekends. The gym is called... The Gym... cause it is the only one in the entire county!
During the school year it is hard to give up my Saturday to work, but during the summer it is actually something that I look forward to... who would have thunk.
In case you didn't see from my picture above, Saturdays at the gym in the summers are not the busiest work schedule. There was one person in here when I got here and there are 4 in here now- D and his buddy Chris, my friend Sally, and a cop. D looks like he is working hard here but he and Chris are mostly just goofing off and gabbing!
The main reason I like working at the gym on Saturdays is because I can make a good dent in my grad school work. I am here for 6 hours with no dog, housework, or TV to distract me. I have taking 2 classes in June and 2 in July towards my masters in education. I should be done by the spring of next year.
For anyone looking to do a masters in education know that it is time consuming but relatively easy. My undergrad classes were 10 times harder. So far I have a 3.7 and I didn't buy any textbooks and haven't listen to a single lecture for the classes. These grad school classes are a lot of busy work but not a ton of substance. I hope my professor doesn't notice that I just copy and pasted an assignment to him because he assigned the same one in the last class I took with him....
But, no matter how much grad work I do, I still need other things to entertain me for 6 hours! I am doing a water bottle challenge where I am trying to drink a gallon every 6 hours so hopefully 2 a day.
I also have some nice snacks and a movie I can watch on my computer if things get too slow!
1.5 hours down and 4.5 to go! So far I have done 0% of my grad work but I'm putting that off as long as I have something to blog about!
Lastly, check out my new favorite song and music video! "When Jesus say Yes nobody can say No"!
