Ok this post is really humorous to me now because I wrote it on Tuesday morning... 12 hours before I would go into labor! Apparently something I did started the baby arrival process! We will consider this the precursor to his birth story! I will make sure to post the actual story of his birth as soon as I get a chance.
So Dom won't let me leave his sight. He is scared my water will break and he won't be there to see it! That means, on most days, as he works from home, I am stuck.
So rather than wallow in boredom, I came up with some ways to entertain myself.
1. Fold Baby Clothes
SOO many baby clothes...
2. Freeze vegetables for later
I decided to freeze some summer squash to make meal preps easier after baby boy is born. This can be done in a few easy steps.
A. Clean and cut squash.
B. Bring pot of water to a boil.
C. Boil squash for 3 minutes (this kills an enzyme that discolors the squash and kills bacteria that can make your vegetables go back). This is also known as Blanching.
D. Give squash an ice bath to cool them down.
E. Bag and label.
3. Practice tying your baby wrap
I was given a Boba wrap by my friend Amanda! Not as easy to use as it would appear...
LOTS of practice...
4. Make padscicles for post-partum care
If you have never heard of padscicles here is the recipe I followed. I will let ya'll know if they are any good once I try them!
5. Nap on the baby room floor while being fed veggie straws
6. Use said veggie straws to teach your dog tricks.
Macy isn't a huge fan of the word "lay" it there aren't treats as an incentive!
Also, Don't forget to go enter the Etsy Giveaway that I posted last week! I know that some little human in your life would love one of these Teething toys!
Only 1 day left to enter!
