I have been building this list for awhile now, and I want to share some verses that I love when it comes to Oliver and praying over his future. I organized them into different headings based on what aspect of his life I am praying over. Feel free to leave some suggestions to continue growing my list.
I used a few different versions while collecting these, however the links are all linked to the NASB versions of the verses.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 – “But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.”
2 Timothy 4:18 "The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen."
2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline."
2 Peter 3:18 – “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”
Psalm 37:23 – “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.”
Proverbs 2:6 "The Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding."
Colossians 2:2 – “That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself.”
GUIDANCE FOR HIS PARENTS:
Psalm 90:17 – “Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; and confirm for us the work of our hands; yes, confirm the work of our hands.”
Titus 3:5-6 – “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior.”
THANKSGIVING FOR HIS LIFE:
3 John 1:4 – “I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.”
Psalm 139:14 – “I will give thanks to you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.”
Psalm 127:3-5 – “Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They will not be ashamed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.”
1 Samuel 1:27 – “For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.”
